Official monthly Consumer Price Index for Kuwait, base year 2013 = 100, compiled and published by the Central Statistical Bureau (CSB), Kuwait's national statistical authority. The monthly bulletin reports the general index level, the month-on-month change and the year-on-year inflation rate, with a twelve-group COICOP breakdown.

Latest official month is JUNE 2026, published by the CSB on 20 Jul 2026: general CPI 139.9 points on the 2013=100 base, FLAT month-on-month against May 2026, and +2.19% year-on-year against June 2025 (down from +2.49% in May and +2.57% in April — a clear disinflation path). Composition: 'miscellaneous goods and services' was the fastest annual riser at +5.80%, food and beverages +5.55% (cereals, bread, meat, poultry, dairy, edible oils, fruit, vegetables, sugar), transport +4.83%; inflation EXCLUDING food and beverages was only +1.43%, so the headline is food-driven. The served value is the INDEX LEVEL, not an inflation rate — read the unit field. BASE YEAR: the CSB rebased to 2013=100 ('Methodology of Consumer Prices Indices Base Year 2013'); do not compare these levels with pre-rebasing series or with the 2018=100 bases used by neighbouring Gulf statistical offices. ACCESS PROBLEM: csb.gov.kw is reachable and its Consumer Price Indices list (linked above) does show June 2026 as the newest release, but the individual PDF and Excel files are served through ASP.NET __doPostBack JavaScript callbacks rather than stable URLs, so there is NO permanent deep link to the June 2026 bulletin — a source-watcher must poll the list page and detect the new row, not a file URL. The numeric figures above are the CSB's own, taken from Kuwaiti press reporting of the CSB release (Times Kuwait, Kuwait Times, Arab Times) because the bulletin itself is not directly fetchable. Next release: July 2026 CPI, expected around 20 Aug 2026.
